Isipathana emerge second runner-up

Isipathana College, Colombo emerged second runner-up at the All-Island Schools Under-20 Aerobic Gymnastic Championship 2025, held at the Municipal Council, Indoor Stadium, Kandy recently.

This victory came to them after 11 years with nine schools competing at this championship.

This was mainly due to the efforts of their coach Heshan Rashika and assistant coach D.P. Rasindu Kaveen under the guidance of the Principal Darshana Udawattage, who has taken keen interest to promote the game.

Isipathana College has around 18 to 20 sports, specially recognised as the ‘Kings of Rugby’ or the ‘Green Machine’ among the leading rugby playing schools in the country.

Now Aerobic Gymnastic at Isipathana College has gained recognition in competing at this tournament.

The Isipathana College Aerobic Gymnastics team comprised Dushantha Nalaka, Lisul Himsara, Pasindu Kalhara, Minoru Dushmantha, Sanuka Ediriweera, Menura Perera, N. Akash.
