Leshan Amarasinghe skipper of Isipathana College Colombo 5 turned in a fine batting erformance in the Under 19 Division Two inter Schools Cricket (Two day) tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.Right hand batsman Leshan Amarsinghe scored 929 runs in 16 matches (including big match) with two centuries and five half centuries (Ave. 37.16) this season. His best innings was against Maliyadeva College Kurunegala (159). He scored 106 runs against Maris Stella College Negombo. and claimed 33 victims with 26 catches and 7 stumps this season as a wicketkeeper.

Leshan Kaveesha Amarasinghe commenced his cricket career at Isipathana College Colombo in the under 13 team ‘B’ in 2011 and represented the school under 13 team ‘A’ in 2012 and 2013 years. He led the school under 13 ‘A’ team and qualified to the semi finals in 2014. He scored over 400 runs with a century and three half centuries in the same year.

He represented the under 15 school team and scored more than 400 runs with five half centuries in 2015. He represented Colombo district under 15 team and Western province team runner up of the Prima Champions Trophy inter provincial tournament in 2015. He led schools under 15 team and they entered the pre quarter final round in 2016. He represented Sri Lanka

He represented the Colombo district team and Western province team in the Prima Champions Trophy inter provincial tournament in the same year. and represented the school under 17 team in 2017. He scored more than 329 runs with a century. He scored unbeaten 164 runs against Ananda Sasthralaya Kotte in 2017. He represented Sri Lanka under 16 team against England under 16 in 2017.

He represented the college 1st XI team from season 2015-2016 and played four big matches in their Battle of the Brothers against Thurstan from 2017. He scored 462 runs with five half centuries in the season 2017/18. He scored 410 runs with three half centuries in the season 2018/19. He represented team Dambulla in the under 19 Super Provincial tournament in 2019.
