Isipatana College pulled off a hard fought 29 points to 17 win against St. Peter’s College in a Division 1 Segment A Group 2 A inter-school under 19 rugby match played at Havelock Park on Sunday.On Saturday (July 16) Royal College did well to pull off a sensational 20 points to eight win against S. Thomas’ and retain the Michael Guneratne Trophy in a Division 1 Segment A Group 1 A match of the inter-school under 19 rugby tournament. Played in Colombo.

The winners were put very much on control by playmaker Kaveen Sasanga who touched once each in both halves of the game. Royal led 10-3 at half time.In another match played on Saturday Joes shocked the high ridding Trinitians to pull off a 20 points 15 win. Naveen Marasinghe and Randika Dhananjaya scored for the Josephians.

In the Division 1 Segment A Group 2 A match played on Saturday Vidyartha did well to down Dharmaraja College by17 points to eight. In another match of the same group Wesley produced a much improved performance to beat Science College 38-10.
