𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗗𝗮𝘆 – 𝟮𝟭 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Celebrated in many countries across the globe on the third Sunday of June, Father’s Day is a time to honour the invaluable role of fathers, mentors, and guiding figures in our lives.

On this special occasion, we pay heartfelt tribute to Mr. B. A. Kuruppu, the Founder Principal who nurtured the young Greenlands College from 2 February 1952 and steered its formative years with dedication, vision, and care.

We also honour Mr. Wijitha Ranasinghe, a member of the College’s pioneering student batch, who returned in the early 1970s as the first alumnus to serve his alma mater as a teacher, inspiring and shaping generations of students through his commitment and example.

Today, we remember and celebrate these remarkable father figures whose leadership, guidance, and service have left an enduring legacy in the history of our College .
