Isipathana College retained the WA Rohana Challenge Trophy for the second year when they beat Thurstan College by 3 goals to 1 in their annual football encounter played at Race Course ground on November 9.

Isipathana took an early 2-nil lead in the first half which was the scores at half time.

Thurstan scored a goal late in the second half through Arul Pradeepa to make it 2-1 at that point.

But Isipathana players stepped up in their game and scored through a penalty by play maker Kamsan to give them victory.

In the games played earlier, Isipathana beat Thurstan in the under-16 game 2-1, the under-14 game 9-1 and the under-10 game 2-1. Thurstan won the under-12 game 6-5.
