Isipathana Storm Into Semi Finals

Isipathana College booked their place in the semi-finals of the Dialog Schools President’s Trophy knockout tournament with an impressive 22–10 victory over St. Joseph’s College in their quarter-final clash played at the Royal Sports Complex yesterday.

In a closely contested first half, Isipathana held a narrow 7–3 lead at the break. However, they stepped up their performance in the second half to secure a convincing win.

Isipathana’s points came through two well-converted goals, a try, and a penalty. St. Joseph’s responded with a goal and a penalty but were unable to match Isipathana’s intensity and execution as the game progressed.

With this victory, Isipathana confidently advances to the semi-finals, keeping their title hopes very much alive.
